Guitar Ted Death Ride International A gravel ride in eastern Iowa, it's self guilded by a provided route map. NO COURSE MARKINGS of any kind will be put up. That's waaay too much work, and besides, all the roads are marked at intersections with "street signs" so your ride can find you if you bail out, get injured or are attacked by pigs.... You will be self supporting. There are no first aid stations...well, not in the traditional "race" sort of way. Convenience stores will have to do! Get the picture? I would recommend bringing your cell phone. Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI), last full week of July is an annual seven day bicycle ride across the state from west to east. RAGBRAI is the longest oldest bicycle touring event in the world. RAGBRAI is sponsored by The Des Moines Register Courage Ride Johnson County, IA-August The Courage Ride is an annual bike ride through the beautiful countryside of Eastern Iowa.
