Organizations Bike to Work Week: Johnson County
The group organizes and promotes Bike to Work Week (BTWW) activities in May each year for the communities of Iowa City, Coralville, and North Liberty. We encourage bicycling not only to work, but everywhere.
Iowa City Bike Library
Visit our 700 S. Dubuque St. location and find a bike you like that fits you. We can help you choose one. You can then check out the bike for 6 months with a deposit. For $5/hour you can use the bike library’s tools, books, and equipment to tune up or repair your bikeduring our Rent-a-Bench times. Rental bench is free for Environmental Advocates, Bicyclists of Iowa City, or Bike Library volunteers. See the website for Rent-a-Bench hours.
Iowa Coalition of Off-Road Riders
The Iowa Coalition of Off-Road Riders (ICORR) is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization formed to promote, preserve, and improve mountain bike trail access in Iowa. ICORR needs to log 600 volunteer hours of trail work and 200 volunteer hours of patrol each year to keep the Sugar Bottom trails open for bikes. This is under a contract with the land owner – The US Army Corps of Engineers – which is signed each year. Get Involved »
Bicyclists of Iowa City
Bicyclists of Iowa City was founded in 1976. since we began as a small group of passionate individuals, the club has since grown to over 300 members from the Iowa City area. Primarily located in Johnson County, Iowa, with a 2007 estimated population of 125,692, the club has become locally and regionally known and recognized by cyclists and members of the community as a prime source for cycling advocacy.
Iowa City Area-Women on Wheels
